Teac P-55 Thermal Printer

TEAC’s ink ribbons include 4 colors (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black – CMYK). The only way to achieve TRUE Black and Photo-Quality prints. Other printer systems rely on the combination of the 3 colors (Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow) to create darker colors including black. TEAC’s 400dpi resolution is the highest resolution in the industry today unmatched by any competitor (other technologies can only achieve 300dpi). This 400dpi resolution is for both Color and Photo output. TEAC print quality in LPI (lines per inch) is 290 LPI, the highest resolution available today. Competing technologies can only achieve 173 LPI. The TEAC P-55 color printing runs about 80 seconds per disc at a cost of .35 cents per print. Running in the photo dye-sublimation mode the discs print in about 100 seconds and cost about .50 cents.
