CD sleeves is the lowest cost solution available for protecting your discs. DVD CD sleeves are available in traditional paper and Tyvek sleeve versions. Tyvek, a polyethylene non-abrasive material with a high degree of smoothness, has the added benefit of being water resistant and tough. In addition, Tyvek is static resistant making it less likely to attract and trap dust particles. While Tyvek is the superior sleeve material, it also costs about twice as much as paper based DVD CD sleeve products.

The other options available in selecting sleeves are:
- Flaps for sealing the disc inside the CD sleeves.
- Clear plastic windows for highlighting the disc label within the CD sleeves.
- Colored or plain white paper CD sleeves.
- Paper DVD and CD sleeves can be ordered with preprinted information (e.g., company name, software title, etc.) on the exterior of the CD sleeves as well. This is a useful, low-cost method for providing professional-looking DVD and CD packaging in larger volume applications.
