Mitsui 80 Min./700MB White Inkjet Printable CD-R media is engineered for the same high quality performance as their standard products. Mitsui's new Ink Jet CD-R media offers dramatically improved performance in all ink jet printers. This Ink Jet media benefits from a new, super-porous coating which provides a stable foundation for ink adherence.
MAM-A (Mitsui) has developed a reputation for quality that is un-equaled in the CD industry. Because of MAM-A patented Phthalocyanine (thalo-sy-a-neen) dye and their attention to detail in the manufacturing process, MAM-A offers recordable media that is more reliable and longer lived than any other recording media available today. If you store it on MAM CD-R, you can be sure that you can reliably retrieve it for a long time to come. In fact, MAM-A conservatively estimate that their silver CD-R will last 100 years when stored at room temperature and the MAM Gold will last in excess of 300 years. No other recording media that we know of can offer that kind of reliability. (Tapes don't come close and even "stamped" CDs will last 5-25 years at best).
The different properties of Phthalocyanine dye helps make MAM media the best on the market, as it allies excellent quality with very high strength, remarkable reflectivity, low stress and ideal compatibility. What is more, during the recording process, the Phthalocyanine burns more accurately and faster than other dyes, which allows for first class fidelity in the retransmission of the information.
"Phthalocyanine" dye is more sensitive to powered laser light and more conducive to high speed recording than other dyes. It is altered more quickly and sharply by the laser. Therefore it guarantees very precise recording at speeds 2X-52X with any type of recorder, and errorless read back by any type of player. Since MAM-A has not changed their dye formulation in over 5 years, drive manufacturers are able to easily configure their units for MAM-A's dye. That's why MAM CD-R is compatible with every writer & reader on the market--a CD-R that they manufactured 5 years ago will perform the same as the ones made today. Most of MAM-A competitors need to re-formulate for different speeds, requiring drive manufacturers to accommodate multiple variations.
The distinguishing feature of the MAM Company resides in the fact that it has mastered all the manufacturing stages of CD-R media. In fact, today MAM is the only company to control 100% of its manufacturing chain (polycarbonate, dye, lacquer and diamond layer), and which does not therefore depend on another company to produce its media.
