CD Dimensions carries a full line of high quality silver inkjet printable CD-R media for today's popular automated CD publishers and printers. We carry the leading manufacturers including Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, MAM-A (Mitsui),Falcon and SKC. Inkjet printable surfaces are not created equal. Drying time, surface defects,consistency and quality of the recordable disc all are factors in a premium grade vs.. "one of the others". Silver inkjet CD-R printable media offers a eye catching iridescent coloration to the printed surface.

Inkjet CD printers use special ink cartridges to print on the surface of inkjet printable CD-R media. Cartridges are available for single color, as well as full 4 color printing. Because inkjet printing is a wet process, they require special ink absorbent media to be used. The wet process has the advantage of being able to mix colors, and can produce excellent multi color printing results at fairly high resolutions. These printers tend to be lower priced than the other technologies, and are available in a broad range of resolutions. Their primary disadvantage is that the print surface is not impervious to moisture but there are several new surfaces like Taiyo Yuden's WaterShield inkjet printable cd-r surface but they only come in white printable surfaces.
